Gastrointestinal endoscopy plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of the digestive system. However, there is a significant shortage of specialists in this field, which compromises the quality of health care. Training in gastrointestinal endoscopy still faces educational challenges, with few graduate programs and gaps in the practical training of physicians.
The Postgraduate Medical Program in Digestive Endoscopy aims to address this need, train physicians to perform endoscopic procedures, and promote a critical approach to best clinical practices. The program also contributes to keeping professionals up to date with advances in the specialty, improving medical care, and expanding access to specialized services. Assessment
To pass the course, students must meet the following requirements:
75% class attendance
Grade “C” on the overall evaluation
Physicians who hold permanent registration with the Regional Medical Council (CRM) and a Specialist Qualification Registration (RQE) in Gastroenterology, Proctology, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, or Digestive System Surgery may enroll in the Postgraduate Medical Course in Digestive Endoscopy.
